Know more before you buy

Use the VIN to compare factory specifications and check independent records. No vehicle history report is included with this listing.

Factory specifications

Decode the VIN using manufacturer data from NHTSA. These identify the vehicle as built, not its current condition.

Safety recalls

Check the VIN for unrepaired recalls on NHTSA. Coverage has limits, especially for older vehicles; also ask the manufacturer.

Use an approved NMVTIS provider for a vehicle history report. Providers may charge a fee; reports do not replace an inspection.
